Winter Horse

By Rebecca Wilkes

My winter horse is so sweet

He even kisses me on the cheek

His tail disappears in the snow

I can’t get myself to go

His face is hard to see

Or is it just me?

A silver horse running by

With his head held up high

Was that him or just the breeze?

Is that him now by the trees?

White on white, gray on gray

How well he blends into the day
