An African elephant walks through reception at Mfuwe Lodge, South Luangwa
National Park, Zambia. Tourists flock to Africa in search of wildlife but at
one hotel the biggest animals come to them – with the inside of the venue
forming part of a traditional trail used by an elephant family for several
years.

A wild and slightly annoyed African elephant walks through the reception
area at the Mfuwe Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.

Two startled women remain frozen in their seats as a wild elephant moves to
within just three feet of their veranda. Photographer Marsel van Oosten
grabbed his camera as he saw the male African elephant approaching his wife
Danilla Sibbing (left) and lodge owner Lana De Villiers at the Lower Zambezi
National Park, Zambia.
