Kujo

My name is Mark and I’m from south Yorkshire in the U.K. Just over 2 years
ago me and my girlfriend Alex (of 4 years) decided we wanted our own dog,
especially after seeing a certain breed on Crufts (televised dog award
show). The breed we decided upon was a Japanese Sheba Inu (as pictured), we
thought it looked like a little fox. Anyway, after a little saving we found
a really nice old couple who bred them and the pups just so happened to be
of relation to the Sheba Inu Crufts Champion. We picked our little champ and
took him home, we named him Kujo. Kujo was my 1st ever dog and we both
bonded very well as i always had to take him to Alex’s grandparents every
morning before work so that they could look after him. Kujo made friends
with Alex’s parents rescue dog, Tess, who is a sheepdog. They loved to run
around the house play fighting and Kujo loved to tease her by gently biting
her feet haha.
Things were good, he was without a doubt my best friend and i loved him so
much, but, things turned sour when me and my girlfriend split up. I was
really concerned about the fact that i knew Kujo would have a better life
with Alex and her grandparents, who loved to take him for walks and with her
parents dog, Tess, playfighting. How could i take all that away from him!
I’m so heartbroken by this and i always cry when i see him, especially when
he See’s me. It’s as if he can’t believe his eyes and runs over with his
tail wagging so hard it looks like it hurts, and after I’ve given him a big
fuss and it’s time to go he starts to cry. I’m even getting a large lump in
my throat while writing this because it upsets me that much I miss him so
much and the fact that i know he’s just a 5 minute drive away makes it
worse, it makes it so hard to move on. I will never forget him and I’m sure
he’ll never forget me.
